We are an Artist and a Philosopher who, along with our musical son, moved from New York City to Central Arkansas in 2011 with dreams of building a permaculture inspired farm. Our ideas and goals evolve as we learn from the land. At core we want to be observant of the relationships between all the plants and animals who live here. We tend to the domestic plants and animals and cherish the wild and native ones. We seeks strategies that help our plants flourish and do not harm other living things. We implement natural processes such as adding decomposing material to build the soil, limited hand tilling, and rotational and companion planting strategies.
In 2018, we began growing plants for sale in the community. Locally available plants did not meet the needs of our farm. We wanted more herbal remedy plants, plants for beneficial insects, and food plants that were productive even with disease, pest and weather pressure. The plants we grow for sale are the same we grow in our gardens. Our plants are productive, beautiful, and delicious. They nurture not only our bodies but the ecosystem of our farm. We are passionate about these plants and love talking about them! So feel free to ask us questions here, on social media, by visiting our farm, or at a local plant sale.
