About Us

About Us

We are an artist and a philosopher, along with our musically talented son, who moved from New York City to Central Arkansas in 2011 with the dream of creating a permaculture-inspired farm. Over the years, our goals have evolved as we've learned from the land, always staying attentive to the interconnected relationships between the plants and animals here. We care for our domestic plants and animals while cherishing the wild and native species. Our approach focuses on strategies that promote plant health without harming other living beings. We embrace natural methods such as adding decomposing materials to enrich the soil, practicing limited hand tilling, and utilizing rotational and companion planting techniques.

In 2018, we started growing plants for sale in the local community. We found that the plants available locally didn’t meet the specific needs of our farm, so we began growing herbs for remedies, plants to attract beneficial insects, and resilient food plants that could thrive under pressure from pests, disease, and weather. The plants we sell are the same ones we grow for ourselves—productive, beautiful, and nourishing. They benefit both our bodies and the ecosystem of our farm. We’re passionate about these plants and love sharing our knowledge. Feel free to ask us questions here, on social media, at a local plant sale, or by visiting the farm.

In addition to our farming and artistic pursuits, I am a realtor specializing in acreage properties, helping others find the perfect piece of land to create their own dreams, whether that’s a farm, homestead, or retreat. Each semester, we're fortunate to have a few interns from Hendrix College join us! This semester, Adia and Madison have been diving in, working hard not only to prepare your plants but also to help plan and cultivate our own gardens.
