Spring 2024

Spring 2024

Welcome back to our annual website! It's hard to believe another year has passed. As I reflect on our journey, I realize that we've been growing for this plant sale for quite some time now, and it's amazing to see how it has become a tradition of the years.

Year after year, we've witnessed an increasing number of attendees and pre-orders, making it clear that our plant sale has become a beloved spring tradition. There's something special about buying local plants that have been nurtured right here in Central Arkansas by fellow farmers and gardeners who understand the unique challenges and joys of gardening in our region.

When I first embarked on this project, it was because I couldn't find the specific plants I desired. I longed for the opportunity to converse with experienced growers who understood the struggles I faced in my own garden. After countless seasons of dealing with cracked tomatoes, wilting plants, and disappointingly low yields, I had enough of purchasing seeds and plants from nurseries that focused on mass-produced varieties ill-suited for our area.

That's why I can confidently assure you that the plants we grow have thrived in our own gardens. Of course, gardening is never without its uncertainties, and there are numerous variables that can impact success. However, our plants are much more likely to be worth your time, money, and effort compared to other options available.

Our approach to gardening revolves around finding a balance. We embrace the presence of certain "weeds" if they provide nectar for bees or serve as habitats for the creatures that share this land with us. Harmful chemicals have no place in our practices, as we deeply cherish the toads, salamanders, frogs, worms, bees, butterflies, and all the other amazing creatures that enrich our environment. Our goal is not to amass wealth or expand our business, but rather to find harmony with the land that nourishes us, keeping us content and inspired. We invite others to join us in living the "good life" and foster a community of gardeners who uplift and support one another.

Please don't hesitate to reach out, ask questions, and share your own experiences. Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community of gardeners who can connect, learn, and grow together.
