Upright and branching with gray-green leaves. It has a sharp citrus aroma. Orange Thyme is distinctly sweeter and less pungent than German Winter and Summer thyme. It has medicinal properties and is useful in diminishing sore throats and coughs. When it flowers it is loved by bees and beneficial insects. Perennial
LIGHT PREFERENCE: Part Shade.
SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Thyme grows best in light, dry, well-drained soil.
PLANT HEIGHT: 6-8”
PLANT SPACING: 6-8"
HARVEST: Harvest just as the flowers being to open. Cut back to within 4-5" above the ground.
Note: Thyme will become woody and needs to be divided or replaced after 3-4 years.
