Multiple long, thin stems topped with clusters of 2" heads packed with tiny flowers. Blooms July to frost. Attracts bees and butterflies. Also known as purple top verbena, tall verbena, South American vervain, and purple-top verbena. Perennial. Self-sewing

Open-pollinated. Good for seed saving. 

LIGHT PREFERENCE: Sun.

PLANT HEIGHT: 36-48 inches

PLANT SPACING: 18 - 24 inches

HARVEST: Harvest when the outer 2-4 layers of flowers are open. Fresh cut flower, pollinator plantings, borders, beds, containers, and mass plantings. Typically unappetizing to deer.

SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Tolerates most soil types.
