Salt and Pepper Cucumber

A white cucumber with excellent resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spot. The cucumbers are 3-5 inches and are great eaten fresh in a salad or we use them for refrigerator pickles. I especially like them in a “peanut butter pickle recipe” I make. In our garden they are a favored by the box turtles who audibly munch any I’ve missed picking. They are open-pollinated (you can save the seeds).

LIGHT PREFERENCE: Sun

SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Average garden soil. Too much nitrogen will increase leaf growth but not cucumber production.

HARVEST: Harvest daily once cucumbers appear
