One plant in 4.5 inch deep pot.
This is a new pepper for us. The Aji Dulce is common in the Caribbean and part of Latin America. They have some heat, but are considered a mild pepper (500-1,000 Scoville units). This sweet-fleshed pepper is essential for so many dishes, from sofrito to bean dishes and soups.
Add open-pollinated. Good for seed saving.
LIGHT PREFERENCE: Sun
PLANT SPACING: Transplant out after frost when the soil is warm and weather is settled. Ideal seedlings have buds, but no open flowers. Set plants 12-18" apart in rows 24-36" apart.
HARVEST: Pick the first peppers promptly when they reach full size and color to encourage further fruit set. Wash and hold at 45°F (7°C).
